Yes! It’s been a long and busy summer for us, and here we are: the Beta phase is live!

In batches, we will let new users in with a first come/first served order. As a beta user, you will be a precious piece of our puzzle, we will reach out with questions and have a brief chat if you wish. Curious? Come on in then!

What is databoutique.com?

Some of you joined this mailing list just lately, so it’s OK to ask.

In a nutshell, Databoutique.com is a tool for instant market research. You can visualize and compare the entire offering of any consumer brand, and create price-positioning research in minutes, not weeks.

You can then use this info as you please, no strings attached.

It’s a tool for professionals, made by professionals who have been helping top brands and market researchers build up massive competitive intel and market research for a while now, and we know how long it takes just to get that data clean.

How does it work?

Well, after you have signed up here, we will reach out to you with credentials - it’s a bummer, I know, bear with us in this beta phase…

Once you’re in, you will be able to start building your research: The main goal is to identify the brands you want to analyze.

You can search brands according to where they are offered. Our data refer to the online world, so you can select a website and geography. You may search Converse sneakers on Zalando in Germany, for example. And then see how this compares to its peers.

You can search any brand, that belongs to your search. And every single product can be selected or excluded from your research.

You will be able to instantly build your custom research.


More examples: “Across body bags” of Furla and GUESS compared? Done. What we have here is clearly two different brand positioning, with different price positioning.

Did you change your mind, and want to refine your search from “Across body bags” to “mini bags” instead? Done.

The picture changed now: It looks like the higher end of Guess is positioning at a completely different price range than the core of the brand.

This is the kind of research we are enabling you to do, and we would like to incentivize.

I could go on with examples, but I guess you get the idea.


What’s in there, already?

Well, it had to start somewhere, so what better place to start than fashion. We are testing the hold of the infrastructure and the performance of the engine (it’s heavy-duty stuff at work here) and we will release the content one piece at a time.

For this beta opening, we are starting with ZALANDO, and with its EMEA offering (Germany, to be precise). It’s a huge playground to start testing with. approximately 5.000 brands, offering more than half a million products.

When does more content roll in?

More websites and more countries will be added soon. We have thousands of websites waiting (we have 99 problems, but data isn’t one of them). As a rule of thumb, expect something new every fortnight, but we keep to ourselves the right to adjust our schedule according to how the engine is roaring.
